Survivor: One World, episode 1

One World…which is super weird because I just watched a conspiracy nutso show about how the Denver airport is One World. But those pictures are crazy. As crazy as the conspiracy nuts.

You may have noticed that I haven’t been doing many Survivor posts.  It’s because certain people *cough, cough, Hannah, cough, cough, Jeff* don’t want me to.  Something about them being boring and no one reads them and everyone wants to see cute pictures of our kids and hear about our Singapore adventures.  I KNOW.  But I bend under pressure so I stopped doing posts.

You may have even noticed the absence of my always right on target initial post of who I think will win.  As much as I’d like to blame them for that, it was my own fault.  I forgot to save the document and it got deleted by my computer. Somebody will win and somebody else will lose.  Meanwhile, I’ll be saying, YEP, I picked them.  While it will be true, there is now no proof.

Did you see the first episode?

They will never do this challenge again.  Kourtney broke her wrist in several places while another woman got a fat lip.

Kourtney BURIED her team.  Hear me out.

THOUSANDS of hopefuls…more?  Thousands upon thousands (perhaps) send in tapes every season to get on Survivor.  They narrow them down to 18 and 2 alternates (they could).  Jeff’s got nothin’ for ALL THOSE OTHER PEOPLE.  (Yes, I’m yelling).

Kourtney, in all her tattooed glory (and I really had high hopes for her) made it to the island.  And instead of listening to Jeff’s very precise instructions, broke her wrist.

Then instead of dealing with it, people, she couldn’t move.  She laid down on the shelf and cried.  Well, she may not have been crying…but she may as well have cried.

She should have walked the balance beam.  She should have kept going until she had to use both hands.  And THEN let them check it out.  She THREW her team under the bus.

She wimped out.  All those thousands of people and she wimped out.

Not to mention, the girls are going down.  Did they really expect the men to just say, okay, pretty ladies, let’s compete.  We want to take the chance that we’ll have to vote someone off our own team, even though your team-mate wussed out.  NO one on our team would have done that.  We’re tough.  Get a grip, ladies. You wouldn’t have taken that chance either.

Good, I feel better now that I’ve called her out.

We know stress or adversity for that matter, people have their own responses to those. What we think is tough might wilt under the pressure while those we think will quit tend to be the ones holding on until the end.

My husband and I, after watching almost every girl jump and NOT follow the direct instructions about keeping hands folded across body or whatever the safety instructions were, serves them right for not listening. Sheesh. It has gotten good. I think you should keep doing your posts, I will read them after I have watched the episode. No biggie.
